Nieuwe software 377 en geluids hick-ups

The issue is serious enough to stop further distribution over the network for obvious reasons.
Now, what am I supposed to do when I did get the update and do want to watch television without the use of subtitles when I'm watching a recording that is being watched and is at the same time recording? = timeshift.
I would really like the old software back.

Please let me know!

uhm. Little explanation: Humax 5050 is also not the ideal machine: audiodelay, quality of image etc.
So I want to get back to the Samsung within 1 week :/

De Humax 5050 is voorlopig de machine met de minste en minst serieuze bugs. Het audio verhaal heeft volgens mij niks met de Humax van doen omdat sommigen het ook op de satelliet merkten.
Beeldkwaliteit maakt weinig verschil per HD decoder vind ik. Met SD misschien wel iets maar nu wordt toch bijna al het SD materiaal geupscaled en merk je dat niet. Anders moet je de HUmax op original zetten maar dan duurt zappen van HD naar SD weer langer ivm handshake.
Ik zou nog wat stoeien met je tv settings en op welke resolutie staat je Humax nu eigenlijk?

Ik vind de afstandsbediening ook niet zo fijn :/
Maar inderdaad, de Samsung is gegarandeerd nog een keer vloeken wanneer de programmering op een willekeurig moment is opgenomen.

Dus ja, misschien moet ik me er maar bij neerleggen dat ze allebei net niet doen wat je wilt...

Extreem sound hickups ...

Must be really easy to reproduce, it's audible on every single recording on the harddrive ...

I've updated 3 Samsung PVR's today and they ALL have the same, VERY irritating BUG !!! :censored:

I suppose it has something to do with the read-ahead / playbackstream being to small or to (in)frequent read. Anyway buffering of the stream must be the issue ...

Maybe a real developer should look into this problem...

:arrow: It's driving people nuts AND pulls the name of Samsung down!

Please update as soon as possible OR deliver the previous version of the firmware!

Korte termijn fix

Dat is nog NOOIT het geval geweest, dus graag NU een rollback!
Paar maand wachten op een FIX is absoluut geen optie!

Is EXTREEM irritant, krakend en hikkend geluid bij een opname!

Ik merk het nu ook bij het normale TV kijken zonder dat er iets opgenomen wordt. Dit is echt niet om aan te zien.:giveup:
De Samsung heb ik aan de achterkant uitgezet en daarna weer aan, daarna was het weg. (tijdelijk denk ik) :roll:

We will strive to provide you with a release within 3 weeks. Once we know more about the planning we will let you. However, again, there is no guarantee that the 3 week period can be achieved.

Possible flaw in the JFS file system ?

Maybe the code used for the JFS file-system is broken?

It's an opensource file-system, so maybe to much customization in that part of the code?

Vandaag is Samsung bij mij thuis geweest. Na het reproduceren van de issues welke wij hebben met het apparaat wordt een gloedje nieuwe uit de doos gehaald en geinstalleerd. Ook dat apparaat aan de stress test onderworpen en waarempel... nauwelijks tot geen geluidsstoringen
Ik zeg niet dat ze volledig weg zijn maar in vergelijking met het eerdere apparaat een heel stuk minder.
Wat met deze nieuwe ook meteen verkeerd ging was de connectie via SCART... met die koppeling zijn de sound-hickups meteen te reproduceren.
Een BUG welke nog niet eerder door de Samsung medewerker was geconstateerrd. Voor mij overigens geen enkel probleem want ik gebruik de HDMI aansluiting. En daarmee is zoals gezegd de verstoring teruggebracht naar een heel enkele keer (als je twee opnames hebt lopen en een derde vanuit de HDD bekijkt en dan eens in de paar minuten een fractie van een seconde; kortom tijdens de grootste overbelasting van de HDD welke je maar kunt bedenken. Aangezien die situatie bij mij nauwelijks wordt gebruikt ... )

Met Samsung de afspraak gemaakt om de bevindingen van dit nieuwe apparaat met hen te delen dus ik zal extra kritisch zijn de komende weken

Verder wil ik via deze weg Samsung enorm succes wensen met de zoektocht naar een fix. Hopelijk kan mijn oude apparaat daaraan bijdragen.

NB... ik zie Philips zoiets nog niet doen, dus nogmaals Samsung: klasse !!!

Same problem

I experience the same problem of sudio hickups, but only for recorded and time shift programs.

I have no external audio device connected, just a hdmi cable to my TV.

The problem was there already before the update to 577 and still is there.

Samsung DTB team, since some people do experience this and others don't, could it be a hardware issue?
