1. Graag aparte tijden kunnen instellen voor snel achteruit en vooruit skippen ( |<< en >>| ) . Wil graag 3 minuten vooruit en 60 seconden achteruit.

2. Bij het skippen tijdens het afspelen van een opname wordt het beeld eerst even zwart waarna het afspelen weer verder gaat. Dit is erg onrustig aan de ogen (tijdens timeshift doet de 7140 dit niet!).

Thanks we will look into this request. However, please understand that our development for a new release has been progressing for a while now so we cant confirm that it can be implemented. If not, we will archive it and make a possible plan to incl it within an upcoming release.

We are discussing with Ziggo the possibilities as to activating our LAN port in order for iTV to be accessible for the 7140. Once more clarity is understood/achieved an official statement can be made. Please bear with us at this moment in time.

-Ik heb een keer gehad dat de HDD niet gereed was en dat ik alleen tv kon kijken. Na de stroom eraf gehaald dmv de achterste knop en weer alles op fabrieksinstellingen te zetten was het probleem opgelost en is het gelukkig niet meer voorgekomen. Misschien de moeite waard om hier eens naar te kijken of het oplosbaar is.
Samsung: OK however, it does take at times 1-2 min for the HDD to recognized after deepstandby

Wishes:
-Is het mogelijk om Internet@TV erop te installeren. Ik heb namelijk wel een Samsung tv ervoor maar ik heb maar 1 LAN-kabel.

-Het zou ook makkelijk zijn als ik de TV via anynet+ kan worden geüpdatet.
Samsung: Are you referring to S/W updates for the 7140? If so, this is not possible. All S/W updates have to go through the cable.
-In kunnen stellen hoelang te klok na uitzetten aan blijft staan. Ik heb de Samsung namelijk op mijn slaapkamer staan en na tv te hebben gekeken en ik het licht uit doe om te gaan slapen lijkt het alweer ochtend voor 5 minuten.
Samsung: Unfortunately this isnt possible due to the settings of our box.
-daarin tegen is het ook makkelijk als ik tv kijk te weten hoe laat het is. Mijn voorkeur gaat dus uit naar de tijd ipv de tvzender op de display als ik tv kijk. De keuze hiervoor lijkt mij ook handig.
Samsung: Do you mean for the clock display to always be present? If so, this isnt possible.

Why discussing with ziggo about activating the Lan port. It is your device, not from ziggo. So, actitivate that Lan port and the users can benefit this port in there home network.

Hi all,

I've been reading/following this forum for about 2 months, and now it's time to post my opinions:

About a week ago I decided to purchase a Samsung SMT-C7140A and a Samsung PS51D6900 Plasma TV. I'm very happy with both products.
One important reason I chose for this Samsung PVR and not a Humax or a IPTV over glassfiber solution is because Samsung is listening to their customers on this forum, and actually does something with that information.
Samsung also took RESPONSIBILITY for the sound hickups and fixed it very fast. Visiting customers at home to understand their problem is an example of Samsung's good sense of responsibility. I'm a software engineer, so I know how challenging it can be to reproduce a bug and the time it usually takes to release a new software version.

So for now I'd like to say: My compliments to Samsung STB, and please keep up the good work and keep listening and iteracting with your customers.

And now on-topic:

My request for NEW features:
- Dimming option for the display
- Deep standby timeout: add option: When pressing the POWER button on the remote: instantly go to deep sleep
- Option to record on an external hard drive connected via USB

HDD not ready

For me there is one only one big issue. Regularly (so more often then occaisionally 3 to 4 times a week) the harddisk is not ready and in doing so it is preventing watching the HDD or recording which is more than annoying. Solution, button on the backside.

Big wish, activation of the LAN and incorporation of the HDD in the LAN. Furthermore a plugin to make it possible to watch youtube. It would make the beautyfull machine a great machine.

Het valt mij op dat niemand het heeft over de push update die ik vorige week kreeg voor mijn tuner.

Ik neem aan dat iedereen die gehad heeft toch?

Na het starten vanuit een diepe stanby duurt het een aantal minuten voordat de EPG actueel is. Ligt niet aan de provider omdat de EPG via de TV wel netjes wordt bijgewerkt. ( binnen de minuut)
Dit is lastig als je snel even iets in wilt stellen om op te nemen.

Bugje 2
Ik neem 2 programma's op die achter elkaar worden uitgezonden op dezelfde zender.
Ik kijk naar de opname van prog1 terwijl prog 2 nog opgenomen wordt.
Als ik na het kijken prog 1 direct wil wissen ( via tools) wordt standaad prog2 (welke nog opgenomen wordt) geselecteerd om te wissen.
