Thomson TWG850-4U switch or hub

Dear All,

Does anyone know if the 4 ports on the Thomson TWG850-4U are switched ports or it acts as a hub (as soon as I connect any devices on these ports Wireless speed drops dramatically)? Seems like a hub to me...but would be interested if anyone knows / finds any information about it?

We're talking about switched ports here. I'm not sure about the big drops in your wireless connection after plugging in a device.

So, whatever is coming in from the wireless it is not sent to all the Ethernet ports, only to WAN (cable) - and vice versa+what is coming in on port 1, will not sent to the devices on 2-4? Hm...weird then - maybe I will make a LAN trace then

I think you misunderstood me. I was implying that the device is not being used as a hub but as a switch. There was a problem in the past where there was no connection possible between wired and wireless hosts. Though this should be fixed with the latest firmware.
