Hey,

mijn nederlands is niet so goed.. haha! Darom en Engels.

Sorry.. but like this it will be a lot quicker. I got a Humax 5000c which was used. Because I thought it is easier, I resetted the whole system --> big mistake! So.. I did this.. and started the thing. Now it is stuck at showing me "InSt" at the Humax.. and no picture at all. I checked the FAQs and it said that the problem is the screen, where the input has to be changed.. but to be honest, I tried the screen via HDMI, the television via Scart, the television via the antenna, the television via video cable.. and tried to switch the screens input. Nothing worked.
I assume "InSt" stands for install? So.. is it getting now the software from Humax again? So it will just take 20-30 minutes? Or did I seriously damage something?
Thank you very much!

Here is a manual in English:
https://www.humaxdigital.com/global/products/new_manual/UM_IRHD5000C_500GB_10-0618.pdf

Do you see the Installation Wizard?
At 3.2 you have to set
Frequency = 372.00
Network ID = 5555
Symbol Rate = 6875

nope

No.. and this is the problem! My screen says: out of range. 28.1khz /50Hz. But it worked before I resetted the device. I tried again to connect with Scart and other possibilities.. but it does not work.
it just says InSt on the display of the Humax.. and nothing else happens.

maybe I have to change the AV setting somewhere. But I cannot get in the menu, as I can not see anything. But it is crazy that I cannot get a picture with Scart on the old television.

This is very strange since it seems to me that you are trying to use a monitor rather than a proper television set (but SCART on a proper TV should work anyway). The error message you are seeing is typical for a monitor (not a TV) which is receiving an 1080i 50 Hz interlaced HDTV signal, but cannot display it because this has a horizontal scan frequency of 28.1 kHz whereas monitors usually cannot display video with horizontal scan frequencies below 30 kHz. You could try pressing the VMODE button on the remote of the Humax a couple of times to see if you can restore the picture, or try a different TV.

THANK YOU!!!!!! This really solved the problem!! I really tried to press a lot of buttons.. but most likely in the wrong order.. or then with the wrong setting, etc! I have picture! Thanks again!! :thumb up:
And you were right about the monitor! Our old TV is not the best anymore.. and has actually the same sice as my 22-inch screen which has now dual use! Thanks thanks thanks!
