ip forwarding with lancity personal modem

hi there,

i have installed an ftp server on my computer and it's working allright inside my local network.
But when i try to access it from the outside, the modem block evrything.
i know that with a dsl modem, it's possible to make an ip forwarding so the modem redirect request to the computer behind him.
how can i do the same thing with a cable lancity personal modem i don't even know the ip of my modem and how to access it.

Which UPC network are you using? The dutch network?

you are talking about your "inside" network, lets assume that you have a router/firewall installed between your modem and your pc.

Did you open the port on the firewall for inbound ftp traffic ?
