Onder Linux heb je er ook tooltjes voor, waar je enorm gedetailleerde informatie kan opvragen, aantal badblocks, aantal readfailures, hoeveel uur de harddisk nog mee kan (echt waar, schatting natuurlijk), hoeveel uur hij al gedraait heeft en nog meer malle informatie... volgens mij ook de temperatuur enzo :)

Het zal er bij wel net zo triest uitzien als in windows maar toch leuk om te proberen. Hoe doe je dat? Ik ben niet zo'n linux freak dus ik ken niet elk commando uit m'n hoofd 8)

in /proc/ide/ide2/hde/smart_values staan bij mij de values...
maar daar heb je een front-end programmatje voor nodig om dat te 'decoderen' ... Ik hàd ooit een mooi programmatje er voor ... voor mijn IBM het begaf :( ...

Word dat gedecodeerd opgeslagen? Of kun je dat gewoon in een soort kladblok voor linux gebruiken? En welke linux gebruik je?

(Sorry voor zoveel vragen maar ik ben van plan linux er weer op te zetten en als je me al op voorhand kunt vertellen dat het geen nut heb dan doe ik het niet :))
 
Je kan het gewoon met 'cat' lezen.

Ik gebruik Gentoo Linux met een Linux 2.4.20-ck4 kernel
