France 2 in Amsterdam ?

Has anyone figured out why France 2 signal seems to be sent to Amsterdam subscribers (and other regions I guess) but it seems there is no way to view it ?
Any hopes for a change ?

Well, France 2 was supposed to be on the network but was removed (If I am right). Maybe they are getting it back now.

I could not find France2 via 999. I'm in Amsterdam and do not see France2 in the listings. (Which is too bad because it's worth while to have it)

France 2 is not available through UPC anymore. It used to be, until the introduction of the Mediabox.

Some threads on this forum were rumouring some talks between France 2 and UPC, and even a come back of France 2 last spring, but this didn't go through. It seems to be a question of money, as often.

The Turkish or Surinamese speakers have some special packets they can subscribe to to get their channels from Holland, why UPC wouldn't offer such packets for French, or German, TV (public and private)? I'm sure many would be ok to pay even 5 to 10 euros per month to get all those extra channels...
